As part of our commitment to the local community the Community Association have committed to making available a set amount of money each year for local causes. This year the board of trustees have made available 10% of the annual surplus of the income that the community centre generates. This means that a community chest of £3000 is available for people to bid for.

Bids have a limit of up to £500, and there is a simple form to complete Here. Higher amounts will be considered and you may be required to meet a trustee to discuss further. The board of trustees will consider your request and respond within 10 days of your application. In order to be considered your application must –

• Detail how the fund will be used to benefit the local community (i.e. improve the local area or provide a community activity) or yourself individually (i.e. to gain new skills, employment or improve wellbeing).
• Tell us what the fund will be spent on, and when it will be spent by. We may ask that we see evidence of these details.

We also ask that any successful applicant promotes the community association - social media and using marketing material that promotes the fund. This may include using your and/or details of your application and/or picture in published marketing materials.

It has disabled assess when entering the centre.

In summer you have aircon so the centre is lovely and cool and when I arrive it winter months the centre is lovely and warm.

The staff who are volunteers are very friendly and helpful.

The Crossley Centre is an excellent venue. I hold my fitness classes there as it has a bright spacious hall which is perfect for all kinds of events. The centre has a central location close to Freehold tram stop making it an ideal community place and it's easy to find. The added bonus....the venue has its own car park.
